Renata Mečkovskienė

Renata Mečkovskienė is an art educator and artist-restorer with extensive professional experience in art education, cultural heritage conservation, and the evaluation of artistic projects. She graduated from Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute (now Šiauliai University), where she obtained qualifications as a teacher of art, technical drawing, and technologies. She has been awarded the highest qualification category in the restoration of archaeological metal artifacts by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.

For over two decades, she has been working at the Trakai School of Arts as a senior art teacher and coordinator of the methodological group; she has also served as Deputy Director for Education. She previously worked at the Trakai History Museum, where she headed the Restoration Department and was actively involved in the conservation and research of archaeological artifacts.

For 15 years, she has been a member of the International Jury of the Lidice International Children’s Art Competition (Czech Republic), the world’s largest international children’s art competition. She regularly participates in national and international juries, collaborates with cultural and educational institutions, and is actively engaged in projects focused on children’s and youth art education, visual expression assessment, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
