Her work engages with social issues, focusing especially on the status and achievements of women.

She believes that art touches people’s hearts, encouraging reflection and meaningful action.

Shirley has collaborated with artists from many countries, teaching her students that art can bridge cultural, social, and national divides through dialogue and friendship.

Shirley’s Fine Art School was established in 2005. It has been a regular participant in many international art competitions, winning multiple awards, including the Life Time Achievement 2025 award of the Small Montmartre Art Competition, North Macedonia.
